    Hi, I'm John!

Microsoft Account Recovery form is currently the only official way to recover your account. You can try it up to twice a day.

If it’s already been a few weeks, you can check this page: "Account recovery unsuccessful" https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/account-recovery-unsuccessful-dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53 it includes extra tips from Microsoft that could improve your chances.

Fill out the form as accurately as you can, include any old passwords, subjects of recent emails, or contacts you remember. The more details you provide, the better the chances of recovering your account.

If you have any recurring subscriptions or payments linked to this email, I also recommend contacting your bank or card provider to block those charges until your account is secured.

I know this process can take some time, but this is currently the only way Microsoft can verify ownership.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

If you are unable to access your Hotmail email account and have exceeded the limit for account recovery requests, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Wait for the Lockout Period: Microsoft temporarily locks accounts after too many failed sign-in attempts or recovery requests. Typically, this lockout lasts about 24 hours. Avoid further attempts during this time to prevent resetting the cooldown.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Form: After the lockout period, you can try the account recovery form again. Make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible, such as recent email subjects, folder names, and contacts you've emailed. You can access the recovery form at https://account.live.com/acsr.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to have issues, you can contact Microsoft Support for assistance. Go to the Microsoft Support page, select "Microsoft account & billing," and then choose "Password reset or account recovery." Depending on your region, you may have options for chat support or a callback.
    4. Check for Other Sign-in Options: Sometimes, there may be alternative ways to sign in. Check if you can sign in using another method on the password page.
    5. Be Persistent: If you are still facing issues after trying the above steps, it may be necessary to wait and try again later or seek further assistance from Microsoft Support.
