Classic contacts doesn’t open because Outlook isn’t loading that pane at all. a single flip to the new People view forces a rebuild and the contacts pane comes back。

If you are unable to open classic view contacts in Outlook while mail and calendar are functioning correctly, it could be related to issues with your Outlook profile or settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Your Profile: Sometimes, the Outlook profile may become corrupted. You can create a new Outlook profile and see if that resolves the issue.
    2. Repair Outlook: Use the built-in repair tool to fix any issues with your Outlook installation. You can find this option in the Control Panel under Programs and Features.
    3. Update Outlook: Ensure that your Outlook is up to date with the latest patches and updates. Sometimes, updates can resolve bugs and improve functionality.
    4. Reset View Settings: If the issue persists, try resetting the view settings for your contacts. You can do this by going to the View tab in the Contacts section and selecting "Reset View."
    5. Check for Add-ins: Sometimes, third-party add-ins can interfere with Outlook's functionality. Try disabling any add-ins to see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, consider seeking further assistance from Microsoft Support or checking community forums for similar issues.
