Hello. I am encountering a bunch of sound issues on my DELL XPS 8940 PC. It seems every time I fix one issue, another one appears. I think I am facing problems in different areas of my computer. Before I spend a lot of time with the details, is there someone out there that can help me out?

Thanks,

Michael

    Hello,

It's funny that when I take the time to post a problem to the community because I am stuck, that after the post I stumble on the answer. I now have my PC running with no sound issues.

A tip for any other DELL XPS 8940 owners: The Max Pro Audio app that came with the computer is no longer stable with the current versions of Windows 11. In addition neither are the RealTek audio drivers, even the ones from DELL.

I had to uninstall and remove the Max Pro Audio program and files, and update my audio card with the High Definition Audio drivers from Microsoft to fix constant crashing.

The problem I posted about is also fixed. I have some Creative PC speakers that are powered from a USB port, and the USB port had a loose cable.

Thanks Igor for the quick reply.

    Michael

    Hi,

please reinstall sound drivers from Dell support site.

If this will not help, please describe your issues in detail.
