Dear Susan Dominica,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand that the Pin feature is missing for one of your email accounts but still appears for another, and that this began recently. I’m happy to help. Please follow these steps:
If the missing pin is in Outlook.com (web)
- Open the mailbox in Outlook.com.
- Set the folder view to Sort by Date (to show pinned messages).
- Hover the message to check whether the Pin option appears and pin the message.
-

If you are working in classic Outlook for Windows and need an equivalent “keep this visible” workflow
- Use Follow Up flags/reminders to keep important emails tracked as action items.
- Add a follow-up flag to the message (flag icon > Follow Up).
- Optional: add a reminder (Follow Up > Add Reminder) so you receive an alert. This helps you avoid losing track of the email even when a Pin option isn’t available in that account’s view.
