Someone is using my email for their own account on websites. When I try to reset the passwrds on these websites, they have two factor authentication set up and I do not have access to their phone numbers used. Can I call customer support about this.

    Hello,

This is a third party email address, right? Meaning, not an outlook.com or hotmail.com address, right?

If so, contacting Microsoft actually won't go anywhere, because Microsoft cannot verify ownership of a third party email address, hence there's no way Microsoft support can help make an existing Microsoft account go away based on what you tell them.

    However, go here instead: https://msrc.microsoft.com/report/

Scroll down to Outlook Spam section and report it there, as you can likely report it as an impersonation.

If someone is using your email address for their accounts on various websites and you are unable to reset the passwords due to two-factor authentication (2FA) linked to their phone numbers, Microsoft cannot directly unsync your email from those accounts. However, you can take the following steps:

    1. Contact Customer Support: You can reach out to the customer support of the specific websites where your email is being used. Explain your situation and request assistance in removing your email from their accounts.
    2. Report Unauthorized Use: If you suspect that your email is being used without your consent, report this to the websites involved. They may have procedures in place to handle such situations.
    3. Secure Your Email: Ensure that your email account is secure by changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your own account to prevent further unauthorized access.

While Microsoft cannot directly assist with unsyncing your email from third-party accounts, they can help you secure your own account if you face issues with it.
