Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I know how frustrating it is when Outlook gets stuck on the loading envelope and never fully opens.
To avoid repeating the Q&A Assist's response under your post, could you tell me if you’ve tried those steps yet, and what happens when you try?
Also, just to confirm, is new Outlook stuck opening a specific message, or does it happen with any email you try to open?
In addition, please try the following steps:
1. Check Outlook on the web
- Sign in to your mailbox via Outlook on the web (browser) and try opening the same message there.
- If it opens on the web, your mailbox is OK and the issue is isolated to the new Outlook app.
2. Force-close new Outlook and reopen it
- Right‑click Start > Task Manager
- Select Microsoft Outlook > End task
- Reopen new Outlook normally and try signing in again
3. Repair the new Outlook app
- From Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Find new Outlook > … (More options) > Advanced options
- Scroll down and select Repair
4. If it still won't open, uninstall and reinstall new Outlook
- From Start, look for new Outlook for Windows > expand options > Uninstall
- Reinstall by opening classic Outlook and using the Try the new Outlook toggle to download it again.
