More than one Microsoft account uses the same email. What do I do to be able to use the email that all other emails are tied to?

    Hi Amy Cameron,

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. In regards with your query, if you want to just use the email that all other emails are tied to, just follow these steps below.

    A. Identify which account you want to keep.

    1. If possible log into both and check: OneDrive contents Subscriptions Purchases Email data

    B. Add the email as an alias to the correct account.

    1. On the account you want to keep, go to your info.
    2. Click Manage how you sign in.
    3. Add the email as an alias.
    4. Set it as Primary alias.
    5. Important: An email address cannot be an alias on two accounts at the same time. You may need to remove it from the unwanted account first.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jhun

If you have multiple Microsoft accounts associated with the same email address, you may need to manage these accounts to ensure you can use the email effectively. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Identify the Accounts: Determine which accounts are linked to your email. You can use the sign-in assistance flow to find out which Microsoft account is linked to your email address.
    2. Change Associated Logins: If you want to consolidate accounts or change which Microsoft account is associated with your email, you may need to create a new Microsoft account and then follow the steps to change the associated logins for your existing accounts. This involves logging into the account you want to change and updating the linked Microsoft account.
    3. Contact Support: If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance with account management.

These steps should help you manage multiple accounts under the same email effectively.
