    Hallo,

The error code 0x800f0983 typically indicates that there is a problem with the update installation process. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Windows Update and run the troubleshooter.
    2. Check for Corrupted System Files: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command sfc /scannow. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files.
    3. Reset Windows Update Components: You can reset the Windows Update components by executing a series of commands in Command Prompt. This includes stopping the Windows Update service, renaming the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folders, and then restarting the service.
    4. Install the Update Manually: If the automatic update fails, you can try to download and install the update manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog by searching for the KB number (KB5077181).
    5. Check Disk Space: Ensure that you have enough disk space available on your system drive, as insufficient space can cause installation failures.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
