Your account should provide you with information on the type of subscription you have access to through the university (see the reply from Henry-N). Also/alternatively, you can check with the IT support at your university to find out if you are allowed to install the local Office apps on your computer.

The error message "Your account is in Bad State" typically indicates an issue with your account's authentication or configuration. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Account Status: Ensure that your university account is active and not locked out. You may need to contact your university's IT support for assistance.
    2. Correct Credentials: Double-check that you are entering the correct user ID and password. Ensure there are no typos and that you are using the credentials assigned by your university.
    3. Sign In Online: Try signing in to your Microsoft 365 account through a web browser. If you can sign in successfully online, this may indicate that the issue is specific to the offline apps.
    4. Update Microsoft 365 Apps: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 apps are updated to the latest version. You can check for updates in any Office app by going to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
    5. Run the Microsoft 365 Sign-in Troubleshooter: Use the Microsoft 365 sign-in troubleshooter, which can help resolve sign-in issues. You can find it in the Get Help app on your device.
    6. Reinstall WAM Plug-ins: If the issue persists, it may be related to the Windows Authentication Manager (WAM) plug-ins. You might need to reinstall these plug-ins using PowerShell commands as outlined in troubleshooting documentation.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
