Outlook won't launch properly

When I try to launch Outlook, it displays an opening envelope for a while, and then displays an error message that it won't launch. I think it might be to do with an Apple email account it can't open when configuring. Sometimes it asks me to log into my Apple account when I try to open the app. I can't remove the Apple account before the unable to launch message. I've tried repairing Outlook, both online and offline, but this doesn't reset it.

If Outlook is not launching properly and you're encountering issues related to an Apple email account, you can try the following steps:

    1. Clear Local State: You can reset the new Outlook by running the command olk.exe --clearLocalState. This will prompt you to enter your email server's password and allow you to verify or change the connection details.
    2. Delete Specific Folders: If the issue persists, try deleting the following folders:
      • C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Olk
      • C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneAuth Make sure to close all Microsoft applications before deleting these folders. They will be recreated when you reopen Outlook.
    3. Repair Installation: Since you've already tried repairing Outlook, ensure that you have also attempted both online and offline repair options thoroughly. If these methods do not resolve the issue, consider uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook from your Microsoft 365 subscription.
    4. Compatibility Settings: If you are using Windows 7 or 8, check the compatibility settings for Outlook. Right-click on Outlook.exe, go to Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, ensure that the option for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" is unchecked.

These steps should help in resolving the launching issue with Outlook. If the problem continues, further investigation may be required, possibly involving your Apple account settings.
