I recommend creating a new local administrator account.
After that, please try not to sign in with any Microsoft Account from the Microsoft Store app.

Hi, I recently reset my Windows PC multiple times to fix a problem with Microsoft Store not working (it fails to initialise, so it hangs on the loading screen for 10 seconds.), I had previously been able to access the Microsoft Store perfectly with the previous version before '22512.1401.1101.0', which is where this problem arises. As soon as this updated installed itself whilst closing Microsoft Store that I was using at the time, it restarted and then did not work. I have tried to reset the app, re-register the package to Windows and even do an in-place upgrade, but no solutions.

2026-02-16T11:34:21.1633333+00:00 Thank you, I managed to uninstall the current version of Microsoft Store that I had with Power shell, and install a new fresh version of Microsoft Store (the newer version than the buggy one I used), and then cleared my DNS Cache, cleared the Windows temp folders and prefetch, set the time zone to automatic and synched the time and date with the internet successfully. I loaded up the Microsoft Store, and now it works... Thanks for your help though...

Should I sign out of the app when it is in the older version before I update it, otherwise how can I sign out of the app, it will not let me click my account icon when in the current version of the Store app.

Uninstall Microsoft Store app
After that, open Microsoft Edge
Please try to visit https://store.rg-adguard.net/
In the drop-down list left-side menu, select PackageFamilyName. While on the right side, select Retail
Search for:
Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Click the check mark
Download: Microsoft.WindowsStore_11811.1001.2713.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle (49.07 MB)
In case it was blocked from the browser, click 3 dots next to the download file
Select Keep > Keep anyway to complete the download process
Double-click the downloaded file to install

2026-02-16T10:10:13.23+00:00 So I tried with the file, it installed and loaded into an older version of Microsoft Store from Windows 10, it couldn't load any content as it needed to update, so I tired numerous times to update it, as the update kept stopping and trying to stop, then as the update finally installed, it returned me to the current version of Microsoft Store, and I encountered the same error that I have now.
