Microsoft Account multiplayer settings not working

I've been attempting to enable multiplayer on Minecraft and have enabled multiplayer on my Microsoft account settings. Despite this, the launcher continues to tell me to check my account for multiplayer access. My account appears to be registered as part of a family, but I am the only member in it, with my account registering my birthday, which should naturally make it recognize me as over 18 years of age.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher, but nothing has changed. Interestingly, when I try to use "Manage Profile" from the launcher, I get an error message where the bio should be. Any idea what might be going on or how I could fix it? Thank you!

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your Microsoft account settings related to multiplayer access in Minecraft. Since your account is registered as part of a family, it’s possible that parental controls or family settings are affecting your ability to enable multiplayer features, even if you are the only member.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Family Settings: Ensure that there are no restrictions set by the family organizer that could be blocking multiplayer access. You may need to log in to the Microsoft Family Safety website to verify this.
    2. Verify Age Settings: Double-check that your birthday is correctly set in your account settings. If it’s recognized that you are over 18, this should allow you access to multiplayer features.
    3. Manage Profile: Since you mentioned getting an error when trying to manage your profile, this could indicate a problem with your account settings or a temporary issue with the service. Try accessing your account settings through the Microsoft website instead of the launcher to see if you can manage your profile there.
    4. Update Gaming Services: Make sure your Gaming Services are up to date, as outdated services can sometimes cause issues with game access. You can check for updates in the Windows settings under "Apps".
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific guidance based on your account status.

Hopefully, one of these steps helps you resolve the issue and regain access to multiplayer functionality in Minecraft!
