I am having trouble accessing my other Microsoft account because two-step verification is sending a code to a phone number that I no longer have access to.
That phone number now belongs to someone else. I previously tried contacting the person who currently has the number to ask for help receiving the verification code, but I have not received any response. It seems they may believe the request is suspicious, and I understand their concern. However, this has left me unable to access my account.
I am currently stuck because:
Two-step verification requires a code sent to my old phone number
I no longer have access to that number
I cannot sign in to update the security information
Is there any way for Support to verify my identity and help me remove or update the phone number linked to my account?
I am willing to provide any necessary identity verification details privately through official support channels.
