Title. Ive been having this issue for hours now where I can't login to my microsoft account on my pc, The account is logged in on my laptop just fine, but im encountering errors when I try to sign in on my pc, whenever I try to login via pin I get 2 errors, An error that says that my credentials could not be validated, and when I try to reset my PIN I just get an error that tells me that it can't be done at the moment without any error codes. It's been hours now and I'm stuck out of my account with important uni work that has to be done and submitted soon, What can I do about this? I've been searching for solutions all day long but nothing seems to be working, It's almost like my account is being stubborn and its genuinely maddening

    Dear @Anon,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:

Use password / web sign-in, not PIN

    On the Windows sign-in screen:

Reset the PIN (after you are in)

    Once signed in:

    • Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
    • Select PIN (Windows Hello) > I forgot my PIN (or Change PIN if you know it) and complete verification to create a new PIN.

Use Windows Recovery to get a working sign-in, then reset PIN

    • Boot to Recovery (Shift + Restart) > Safe Mode > sign in with password > reset/remove PIN.

I sincerely hope you understand that the initial steps I suggested may not have completely fixed the issue, as there may still be underlying causes that have not yet been identified. I am here to work closely with you, troubleshoot effectively, and explore every possible solution to ensure the best possible outcome.
