Dear @Anon,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:
Use password / web sign-in, not PIN
On the Windows sign-in screen:
- Select "Sign-in options"
- Choose Password (instead of PIN) and sign in with your Microsoft account password.
- If you see Web sign-in, use that (it lets you sign in via the web flow), then continue. Change or reset your PIN in Windows - Microsoft Support
Reset the PIN (after you are in)
Once signed in:
- Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Select PIN (Windows Hello) > I forgot my PIN (or Change PIN if you know it) and complete verification to create a new PIN.
Use Windows Recovery to get a working sign-in, then reset PIN
- Boot to Recovery (Shift + Restart) > Safe Mode > sign in with password > reset/remove PIN.
I sincerely hope you understand that the initial steps I suggested may not have completely fixed the issue, as there may still be underlying causes that have not yet been identified. I am here to work closely with you, troubleshoot effectively, and explore every possible solution to ensure the best possible outcome.
