I ran the update as requested and now both of my additional monitors are dead. The system does not find them, I have tried unplugging/replugging to get the computer to 'see' them. I have mannually tried to add them back.

Didn't know you had to type this into the "answer" field. Here is what I wrote as a comment to SD Gilmore:

A friend of mine just had the same issue. Windows Update probably disabled your graphics card. Go to your device manager and look for the graphics card / graphics adapter. If there is a button with the option to enable the card, do that.

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

    2

Right click your Start button and open Device Manager.

    Expand the Graphics Adapters section.

Please provide a screenshot of that Device Manager window.

If your additional monitors are not being detected after a system update, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to both the monitors and the computer. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause the monitors not to be recognized.
    2. Display Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings." Scroll down to find the "Multiple displays" section and click on the "Detect" button to see if Windows can find the monitors.
    3. Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the Device Manager or the manufacturer's website.
    4. Reboot the Computer: Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve detection issues.
    5. Windows Update: If the problem started after a specific update, you might consider rolling back that update to see if it resolves the issue. You can do this through the "Update & Security" settings.
    6. Use Keyboard Shortcuts: You can try using the keyboard shortcut Windows + P to toggle between display modes (e.g., Extend, Duplicate, Second screen only).

If none of these steps work, it may be a compatibility issue with the update and your hardware. You might want to check online forums or the manufacturer's support for additional guidance.
