I have a new computer. It worked very well at first, but now I have lost the sound. It's a Beelink mini computer. I was trying to use Audacity to record a music video, but the app clearly didn't have any sound to record. Now I have now sound at all when I try to watch a YouTube video.

    Hi,

If this is only happening with the browser, do the following: go to Start menu > Settings > System > Sound > Volume mixer > see if the browser you are using appears. Click the arrow and see if it's set to default or the correct sound device.

Check in your browser if any tabs are muted. In Chrome/Edge, when opening YouTube, select a video > right-click on the tab at the top of YouTube > Unmute tab.

To troubleshoot the sound issue on your Beelink mini computer, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Audio Output: Ensure that the correct audio output device is selected. Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings". Under "Output", make sure the correct device is selected.
    2. Device Manager: Open Device Manager and check if your audio drivers are installed and functioning correctly. You can do this by expanding the "Sound, video and game controllers" section. If there are any warning signs, you may need to update or reinstall the drivers.
    3. Update Drivers: Visit your device manufacturer's website to download the latest audio drivers for your system model. Alternatively, you can try updating the drivers through Device Manager by right-clicking on the audio device and selecting "Update driver".
    4. Run Troubleshooter: Use the built-in audio troubleshooter. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, and run the "Playing Audio" troubleshooter. This can help identify and fix common audio problems.
    5. Check Volume Levels: Ensure that the volume is not muted or set too low in both the system settings and within the YouTube player itself.
    6. Reinstall Audacity: If the issue started after using Audacity, consider reinstalling the application to ensure it is not causing conflicts with your audio settings.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to check for any additional settings or configurations specific to your Beelink mini computer.
