My surface pro 4 screen won’t turn on

Question

When I press the power button it turns in my keyboard. Yet, my screen doesn’t turn on. How can I fix this? I tried all the hard restart.

sorry you’re dealing with that… on the old Pro 4, keyboard lighting but no screen is almost always the panel backlight latch stuck. only thing that’s ever brought mine back is holding power + vol‑up for a long 20–25 sec, then plug it in cold and forces the display rail to re‑init.
