Hey my account was hacked a few weeks ago the original email was <mod: PII removed>@gmail.com and the account got hacked from a phishing link and the email that it changed to was <mod: PII removed>@unicorml.ru. I cannot login what so ever and everytime I send a verification code it sends it to the hackers email not mine. also I have a subscription running (premium $15 a month) and the only way to cancel it is to cancel the whole card. I’m looking to see if you can look into this. Thank you.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

As for the active subscription, please be advised that unless the account owner is able to access the account, subscription cancellation is not possible, and Microsoft personnel cannot retrieve this information.

If you are no longer able to recover your account, you will need to reach out directly to your bank and request to freeze all charges from Microsoft, cancelling the subscription on its renewal in the process.

You may also need to request a new payment method.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

If your account has been hacked and the email has been changed to one that you do not control, the best course of action is to follow the official Microsoft account recovery process. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Account Recovery: Use the Microsoft account recovery page to attempt to recover your account. You will need to provide as much information as possible to verify your identity.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you are unable to access your account and the verification codes are being sent to the hacker's email, it is advisable to contact Microsoft Support directly for assistance. They may have additional tools to help you regain access to your account.
    3. Cancel Subscription: If you have a subscription linked to your account and cannot access it, consider contacting your bank or credit card provider to discuss options for canceling the subscription or blocking future charges.
    4. Monitor for Unauthorized Activity: Keep an eye on your financial statements and any other accounts that may be linked to your compromised email address to prevent further unauthorized access.
    5. Secure Your Devices: Ensure that your devices are secure by running antivirus scans and changing passwords for other accounts that may be linked to the compromised email.

Following these steps can help you regain control of your account and protect your information from further compromise.
