Taskbar notification area not opening ?

When i click on date usually it open notification area with a calendar . but now nothing happening on clicking on the date. can you help me microsoft

Hi! If clicking the date on your Windows 11 taskbar doesn’t open the calendar, you can try these steps:

Restart Windows Explorer:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

Find Windows Explorer, right-click it, and select Restart.

Check Taskbar Settings:

Go to Settings → Personalization → Taskbar → Taskbar corner icons and make sure Calendar is enabled.

Run System File Check:

Open Command Prompt as Admin and run sfc /scannow to fix any corrupted system files.

Restart your PC after doing the above.

This usually restores the calendar popup when you click the date.

Something has changed in the recent update. The notification centre will fail to open, and only by rebooting or restarting Windows Explorer will it fix it. But you will all your notifications.

Also, you can no longer click on the pop up notifications to open them.

I hope MS fixes this, or at least considers this a problem, as it is.

Is this on a desktop or laptop/tablet?

Try

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

Find Windows Explorer

Right‑click it, Restart

Also in PowerShell admin, use sfc /scannow and then try DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth after that reboot and see if it works.

Have you got 3rd party app that changes the Desktop layout installed?

Which version of Windows are you using, home, Pro,

Open run and type winver and post back the result, dont show your email.

no update , always up to date , this problem is sice very long i have done lots of update after that no solution

Can you make a new user account and check everything works in it, just testing at this stage, your user profile might be corrupted.

its not even working with local account too , i don't think that it is a account issue.

Because the new user still doesn't work, I would download Windows 11 .ISO and run the setup inside Windows keeping your apps and settings. If you want detail instructions on how to do this let me know.
