I Need help to fix my keyboard

One problem I have is when the keys n m h j y u 6 7 don't respond most of the time, and I need to press and hold on one of the keys to make them function, where they work normally for a while before it happens, but it repeats after not using my keyboard for some time. It sometimes happens to any key. I think this is a software error.

Another is when I misclick one of the function keys or more (Alt, Fn, Ctrl, Win), and all my keys and number keys stop working and start doing random functions instead, which is either a software error or a shortcut I don't know.

The vertical block of keys on your keyboard you indicate that are not working correctly usually indicate a hardware fault on the keyboard.

    1

Open Command Prompt, then paste in this command and press Enter:

    msdt.exe -id KeyboardDiagnostic

Run that Keyboard Troubleshooter to see if that can solve the problem.

    2

If that does not resolve this for you

    Open Device Manager

    Expand the Keyboards section

Right click your keyboard and choose 'Uninstall'

    Then restart your PC

    3

If the problem is still not resolved:

Bring up the on-screen keyboard, are those keys working correctly on that keyboard?

Connect another external keyboard to your system, are those keys working correctly on that keyboard?

It sounds like you are experiencing a couple of issues with your keyboard. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Debris Under Keys: Sometimes, debris under the keys can cause intermittent issues. Use compressed air to blow under the affected keys and wipe them with a slightly damp microfiber cloth.
    2. External Keyboard Test: If you have access to an external keyboard, try connecting it. If the external keyboard works fine, the issue may be hardware-related with your current keyboard. If the external keyboard has the same issues, it could be a software or driver problem.
    3. Safe Mode Check: Boot your computer in Safe Mode. If the keys work fine in Safe Mode, a third-party application may be interfering with the keyboard functionality.
    4. Keyboard Manager Issues: If you are using the Keyboard Manager utility from Microsoft PowerToys, ensure that it is running as an administrator. Also, check if any applications are interfering by disabling and re-enabling Keyboard Manager in the settings.
    5. Driver Updates: Make sure your OEM drivers are up to date by checking for updates in Settings > Windows Update. This can resolve many keyboard-related issues.
    6. Function Key Misclicks: If misclicking function keys causes random functions, it might be due to keyboard shortcuts being triggered. Familiarize yourself with the shortcuts or consider disabling certain features in the keyboard settings if possible.

If these steps do not resolve your issues, you may want to consider reaching out to support for further assistance.
