Try a manual uninstall. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/manually-uninstall-office-4e2904ea-25c8-4544-99ee-17696bb3027b . Then see if the reinstall works properly.

This is all very strange, try using the process that Microsoft provides on this link to fix problems uninstalling and installing apps.

If the Office apps had somehow disappeared on your PC, what happens if you log into your Microsoft account on this link, then from there, download Office again onto your PC.

If your entire Office suite has been deleted and you cannot reinstall it, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Subscription Status: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 subscription is active and up to date. You can verify this by logging into your Microsoft account at the Microsoft services page.
    2. Use the Microsoft 365 Uninstall Troubleshooter: This tool can help you completely remove any remnants of Office from your system, which may be preventing a successful reinstallation. You can download it from the official Microsoft support site.
    3. Manual Uninstallation: If the troubleshooter does not work, you may need to manually uninstall Office. Go to "Apps & Features" in Windows settings, find Microsoft Office, and uninstall it. After that, check for any remaining folders in the installation directory and delete them.
    4. Reinstall Office: Once you have uninstalled Office, you can reinstall it by logging into your Microsoft account and downloading the installer from your account services page.
    5. Contact Support: If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your situation.

Following these steps should help you get your Office suite reinstalled successfully.
