Problems loging in on a old e-mail

Question

I have this really old e-mail that was an @hotmail.com that microsoft locked me out years ago, i am trying to log in but theres an email that a i dont recognize as a backup(?) and i already lost access to the cell phone number in the account. It keeps asking for the emails of friends or subject of the emails I sent or received but as i said, i am locked out for years and don't remember. There is another way to regain access to this email or is it lost forever? i really wanted it back because its set as a security email for other things i have, example: my transportatrion card account that I REALLY NEED to get into to solve some issues.
