How I can create forms in different languages (with automatic messages in other languages)?

I am trying to create forms in different languages. However, the automatic messages that the responders obtain from Microsoft are always in my default language.

For example, on the first page, the message "When you submit this form, it will not automatically collect your details like name and email address unless you provide it yourself." appears.

How can I change the language used by those automatic messages? Otherwise, how I can use the app is significantly limited.

    Oh!
    Thanks @Quinn.HP

That is very disappointing. I did not expect Microsoft to remove this feature when we go to a cosmopolitan society.

And this is a clear example of the created setbacks:

I have family and friends in different countries. Not all of them speak my default language, so the automatic comments are not always understood and seem non-inclusive.
When I can add the translation next to the comment, it cannot be aesthetically pleasing because the forms have a predefined, strict structure.
Personally, adding that option back would be beneficial, so I would appreciate it if this comment is sent to the relevant team.

Meanwhile, I may look for different options/apps.

    Thanks for your time!

    Hi!

I apologize — I forgot to mention that Microsoft Forms only supports the Multilingual option for work or school accounts. If you're using a personal Microsoft account, you can write your questions in any language, but the automatic system messages cannot be changed. There’s no way to enable this feature unless you switch to a Microsoft 365 business or education account.

    As practical workarounds, you could:

    • Create separate forms for each language and share the appropriate link.
    • Add a short introduction at the top explaining the language of the form.
    • Use a landing page with buttons directing users to the correct language version.

I'm afraid that forms, at least in personal accounts (no business), do not have the Multilingual option in that menu.

Is there another way to access the Multilingual option, or to create a form in a different language?
(I mean that the indications from Microsoft to the participant are displayed in the same language as the text that I write)

Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

To create forms in multiple languages in Microsoft Forms:

    1. Open your form.
    2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the upper-right corner and select Multilingual.
    3. Choose Add additional language and select the languages you want.
    4. Translate your questions into each language (Microsoft provides machine translations, but you can edit them).

Respondents will then be able to pick their preferred language from a dropdown at the top of the form, and both the form text and automatic system messages will appear in that language.
