Good afternoon,

I have stopped receiving emails for some reason. I have checked if it is because my storage is full and I still have almost 2gb of storage left, so it can't be that. I almost got scammed on Friday by someone in Asia that said they were fraud department and asked me to download an app which gave him access to see my phone. Thankfully, I did not continue with what he was asking me to do and there were no complications with my bank or mobile number. I cannot however receive emails from anyone and am missing some important emails also. Can you help me by solving this issue please? Thank you. Fethi

    Hello,

Can you clarify - did you download the app they asked you to download at all? I assume you didn't let them remote into your device, but you didn't download the app either, did you?

Do you use computer as well to check your email besides using your phone?

If you're not receiving emails, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

    1. Check Email Rules: Sometimes, rules can divert emails to other folders or even the RSS feed. Make sure there are no rules set up that could be affecting your inbox.
    2. Temporary Mailbox Issue: If you have recently switched versions of Outlook or had issues connecting to the Exchange server, you might be using a temporary mailbox. This can cause problems with receiving emails. You may need to create a new Outlook profile to reconnect to your Exchange server properly. Follow these steps:
      • Close Outlook completely and ensure no Outlook processes are running in Task Manager.
      • Create a new Outlook profile through Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
      • Add your email account and let the automatic setup run.
    3. Check Storage Quota: Although you mentioned having 2GB left, ensure that your mailbox isn't on hold or affected by retention policies that might prevent receiving emails.
    4. Contact Support: If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Make sure to also secure your account after the scam attempt by changing your passwords and enabling two-factor authentication if you haven't already.
