    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question.

I understand how inconvenient it is when a Bluetooth mouse suddenly stops working, especially after reinstalling attempts fail. It’s completely reasonable to feel stuck when the uninstall process won’t complete and Windows doesn’t automatically reinstall the device. This issue often happens when the Bluetooth driver or the mouse’s previous pairing entry becomes corrupted, preventing Windows from removing or refreshing the device correctly. The best resolution is to remove the mouse from the Bluetooth settings page instead of Device Manager, restart Bluetooth services if needed, and then pair the mouse again so Windows can reinstall the correct driver automatically. You can also check for pending Windows or Bluetooth driver updates, as these can affect device detection and pairing.

To help narrow things down, may I ask whether your mouse appears under Bluetooth & devices in Settings, or if it no longer shows up at all when attempting to pair? Please feel free to follow up so I can guide you step‑by‑step until your mouse is fully working again.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

To reinstall your Bluetooth mouse, follow these steps:

    1. Remove the Mouse from Bluetooth Settings: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Find your mouse in the list, click on it, and select Remove device.
    2. Restart Your Computer: This can help reset any issues that might be causing the uninstall to fail.
    3. Re-pair the Mouse: After restarting, go back to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Turn Bluetooth off and then back on. Click on Add Bluetooth or other device, select Bluetooth, and then choose your mouse from the list to pair it again.
    4. Check for Driver Issues: If the mouse still does not work, you may need to check for driver updates. Go to Device Manager, find your Bluetooth device, right-click it, and select Update driver.
    5. Use Windows Troubleshooter: If problems persist, you can use the Windows Troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider using a different USB port for your Bluetooth adapter or checking for any software conflicts that may be affecting the Bluetooth functionality.
