    Hi Neil Sachdev

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and sharing your concern.

I understand how confusing it can be to see what appears to be duplicate Microsoft 365 charges, especially when a third‑party provider is involved.

From your description, it’s likely you have two separate Microsoft 365 subscriptions. One may be billed directly by Microsoft, and another provided by Hosting UK as a reseller. Even if they use the same domain or appear related, subscriptions are not automatically merged for billing.

Cancelling a Microsoft‑billed subscription does not immediately delete data. However, access depends on whether the remaining subscription applies to the same tenant and users. If Hosting UK manages your existing tenant, your data usually remains available as long as licenses stay assigned. If the subscriptions belong to different tenants, cancelling one could result in loss of access after the retention period.

Before cancelling anything, please sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center, review subscriptions under Billing, and confirm which subscription is actively used and which licenses your users are assigned to. Please refer to the following Microsoft Support article: Manage Microsoft 365 payment information and billing for your business.

Because this involves billing and tenant ownership, the safest next step is to contact Microsoft Billing Support or Hosting UK directly before making changes.

    • To contact Microsoft Billing Support, sign in using a Global Administrator account and submit a support request through the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    • In the bottom‑left corner, select Help & Support to open the Support Assistant panel.
    • In the text box, type “request an agent to contact me via email or phone” and press Enter.
    • At the bottom‑left of the panel, select the blue Contact Support link.
    • Choose your preferred contact method (Email or Phone).
    • Complete the contact form and describe your situation in detail so the support team has enough information to assist you.
    • Select Contact me to submit the request.

If you are receiving a bill for Microsoft 365 while also being charged by Hosting UK, it is possible that you have two separate subscriptions. If you cancel your Microsoft 365 account, you may lose access to any data stored within that account, unless it is indeed merged with your Hosting UK account as they have assured you. To ensure that you do not lose any important data, it is advisable to confirm with Hosting UK about the specifics of the account merging and what data will remain accessible if you cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription.

Additionally, if you are unsure about the billing or need assistance, you can contact Microsoft support for clarification on your account and billing situation.
