Accessing Microsoft Teams using organizational or personal credentials
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum and for clearly describing what you’re experiencing.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re getting stuck in the “We’re sorry, we’re having issues” sign‑in loop. I understand how disruptive this can be, especially after you’ve already confirmed that your credentials are correct.
To clarify, Microsoft Teams Premium is an add‑on license, which means it does not work on its own. In order to sign in to Microsoft Teams, the account must already have a base Microsoft 365 subscription that includes Microsoft Teams (such as Microsoft 365 Business, E3/E5, or another Teams‑enabled plan). If a base Teams license is not present, sign‑in attempts can fail with generic error messages like the one you’re seeing, even when the username and password are valid. You can find more details here: Microsoft Teams Premium licensing.
To help narrow this down, please review the following checks:
1/ Confirm the base license:
Please verify that the account you’re using has a Microsoft 365 plan that includes Microsoft Teams, and that Teams Premium is assigned in addition to that plan, not by itself.
2/ Make sure you’re signing in with the correct account type:
Teams Premium is designed for work or school accounts. If the subscription was created using a personal Microsoft account, it will not allow access to Microsoft Teams for business.
3/ Check license assignment and activation:
You can review the licenses assigned to your account by signing in here and checking the Subscriptions > Licenses section:
https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#subscriptions.
If you have admin access, you can also confirm license assignment in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Otherwise, your IT administrator can check this on your behalf.
If the issue persists, you may need to contact Microsoft Support so they can review the account and licensing details from the backend. You can create a support ticket by sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center following steps from this link: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to raise a support ticket from admin center or calling the phone support to contact Microsoft Support: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. If you don't have admin privileges, you can ask your IT administrator to do it on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can look for the way to find your admin through this link: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
