Error: 0x80090011

Question

I want to play video games but i need my PIN (stupid feature) the PIN doesnt work. please help. Question: How do i fix it?

I totally understand. If your PIN is blocked with 0x80090011 and Remove PIN is gray, Microsoft only supports signing in with your Microsoft account password or creating a new local user account. The PIN container is corrupted and cannot be repaired, so you must use your password or a new account to access Windows and your games.

Just to clarify, the issue is the Windows Hello PIN data, not the number itself. Sign in using your Microsoft account password, then go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, remove the PIN completely, restart your PC, and add a new PIN again. If the error continues, delete the Ngc folder at C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft, restart, then set up a new PIN.

At the Windows sign-in screen, click I forgot my PIN, verify your account with your password, and follow the prompts to set a new PIN. Check your keyboard layout and install any Windows updates if the reset fails. If you use a local account, sign in with your Windows password instead, since PIN reset only works for Microsoft accounts. After resetting, your new PIN will work immediately and you can access your games.

By the way, the error 0x80090011 means Windows cannot access the security device that stores your PIN
