I have a tan banner near my toolbar that tells me to Check Updates. When I click through, it tells me I need an update, but does not provide a prompt to upgrade. THere's a second tan banner that has nothing in other than an X to close. I've mininized, maximized and quit/restarted both the MS apps and the machine. It's telling me I need an upgrade, but I purchased it yesterday from the MS website. Any ideas on how i can get this working?

You've gone 1 step too far. On the Microsoft AutoUpdate dialog click Update All:

If you need to get back to the Microsoft AutoUpdate dialog go to Help> Check for Updates in the Word menu bar.

If you continue to have a problem please provide the following information:

    • From **> About This Mac** the macOS Version Number
    • From Word> About Microsoft Word in the Word menu bar the Version Number & type of License.
