I want to sign up for the free 365 student package. I got the verification email in my school email, clicked the verification link, and solved a puzzle. But it details verification not allowed. The verify button is also turned off.

Please can you help? Moved from: Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | For education | Windows

    Hi,

Since this involves student account, it would be best to contact first your school IT Admin to verify if your account has been added to their portal to be eligible to get a student discount. Once done, you can then proceed successfully on getting the discount and associate the license to the account itself.

It seems you are experiencing issues with verifying your student account for the free Microsoft 365 package. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Your School Email: Ensure that you are using the correct school email address that is associated with your account.
    2. Verify Your Identity: Sometimes, additional verification may be required. Make sure you have completed all steps in the verification process, including any identity verification that may be needed.
    3. Contact Support: If the verification button is still disabled, it may be helpful to reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your situation.
    4. Try Again Later: Occasionally, there may be temporary issues with the verification system. Waiting a bit and trying again might resolve the problem.

If you continue to face issues, consider checking with your school's IT department to ensure that your institution is supported in the verification system.
