    Dear @William Oldright,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:

Confirm you are not hitting an iOS limitation

With an iPhone, Microsoft Phone Link only provides basic support: Messages, Notifications, Calls, and Contacts, and messages are session-based (they only come through while the phone is connected to the PC). Image/video sharing and group messaging are not supported.

    So if “send” means:

    • Sending photos/videos/files > that will not work via Phone Link with iPhone.
    • Sending a group text > not supported.
    • Expecting texts you sent on the iPhone to appear in Phone Link > may be expected behavior; iPhone sent-history is not reliably synced back to Windows unless the message is initiated from Phone Link.

Ensure iPhone Bluetooth permissions are enabled for your PC

On iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth > find your PC name > tap (i) > enable:

    • Show Notifications
    • Sync Contacts

Update Phone Link on the PC

Clean re-pair Bluetooth on BOTH sides

Even when pairing “looks connected,” the messaging channel can be broken. Do a clean rebuild:

    • On Windows 11 (ASUS VivoBook): Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > find your iPhone > Remove device
    • On iPhone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > tap (i) next to your PC > Forget This Device

    Then reconnect via Phone Link:

    • Open Phone Link > choose iPhone > follow prompts and re-link (QR/pairing flow)

I sincerely hope you understand that the initial steps I suggested may not have completely fixed the issue, as there may still be underlying causes that have not yet been identified. I am here to work closely with you, troubleshoot effectively, and explore every possible solution to ensure the best possible outcome.
