Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum
Regarding your issue, this usually points to a Windows‑level Bluetooth or USB interference issue, where devices can connect but audio and controller input stutter.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- The "Cold Boot"
- Shut down your computer completely.
- Unplug the power cable (and remove the battery if it’s an older laptop).
- Hold the Power Button down for 30–60 seconds. This drains the residual electricity from the motherboard and forces the Bluetooth module to re-initialize from scratch.
- Plug it back in and boot up.
- Check the "Bluetooth Support Service"
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
- Find Bluetooth Support Service.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
- Double-click it and ensure the Startup type is set to Automatic.
- Check if there are other services like "Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service" and ensure they are also running.
- Clear "Ghost" Drivers in Device Manager
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Click View at the top and select Show hidden devices.
- Expand the Bluetooth section.
- Uninstall every item listed under Bluetooth (Right-click -> Uninstall device). If it asks to "Attempt to remove the driver for this device," check that box.
- Restart your PC. Windows will automatically rediscover the hardware and "clean" install the driver.

- Disable Fast Startup
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
-
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup
- Save changes and restart your device.
Hopefully it will help work with your issue and if you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
