My Outlook account was hacked and the email alias I used to sign up for an X account (@CulinarySleuth) was deleted from my account. I tried to add the email alias back to my account only to find it was now on another Outlook email account.

    Hi, I'm John!

If you haven’t already, you can try using the Microsoft Self-help tool:

You can also use the Xbox recovery form here:

If the issue still persists, and the email address has been changed and two-factor authentication has been enabled by the hacker, unfortunately, the account may no longer be recoverable.

As for your X account, you may need to contact X support to let them know about the issue.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

If your email alias has been deleted from your Outlook account, it is permanently removed and cannot be added back to your account. When an alias is removed, it cannot be associated with any Microsoft account again, which is likely why you are unable to add it back after it was deleted. If it has been taken by another Outlook account, there is no way to reclaim it or transfer it back to your account.

For future reference, it is advisable to secure your account with strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
