Purchased product from Amazon and when I try to set up on my TV the Xbox gives me an error and does not update. What can I do, would this be covered under manufacturing warranty?

If you're experiencing issues with your Xbox Series S not updating and displaying an error during setup, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Restart the Console: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.
    2. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your console is connected to the internet, as updates require a stable connection.
    3. Try a Different HDMI Port: If the console is not displaying correctly, switching to a different HDMI port on your TV may help.
    4. Reset the Console: If the issue persists, you might consider performing a factory reset. Be cautious as this will erase all data on the console.

Regarding warranty coverage, Xbox consoles typically come with a limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects. If the console is new and you believe the issue is due to a manufacturing defect, it should be covered under warranty. You can check the warranty status and options for repair or replacement through the Xbox support website or contact Amazon for assistance if you purchased it from there.
