I bought a laptop with windows 11 pro on it and then when I look at the bottom right corner it says that I need to activate windows. When I go to the activate settings window it has me troubleshoot and brings me to a phone and website that then doesn't work. I just need to activate windows but my laptop came with it.

Can you please type cmd in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch command prompt, then run the following command:

    slmgr /dlv

Then share a screenshot please. Thanks!

It seems that you are experiencing an activation issue with your Windows 11 Pro installation. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check the License: Ensure that your laptop indeed came with a valid Windows 11 Pro license. You can do this by checking if the license is embedded in the BIOS. To find out, you can open a Command Prompt (Admin) and enter the command wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey. This should display the original product key if it is embedded.
    2. Troubleshoot Activation: If the activation troubleshooter is not working properly, it may help to try activating Windows again after ensuring you are connected to the internet. Sometimes, activation requires a stable internet connection to verify the license.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact Microsoft support directly for assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your situation, especially if there are issues with the digital license.
    4. Reinstallation: As a last resort, you might consider reinstalling Windows 11 Pro using a bootable USB drive. This can sometimes resolve activation issues by ensuring a clean installation.

Make sure to back up your data before attempting a reinstallation.
