Finally figured out that CTRL + . or CTRL + , would advance emails or go back to previous ones. That no longer works. What is the new workaround???

When I hit Control + anything I just get these black boxes at the top. They do nothing and the emails don't advance or go back. This is super frustrating!!!Screenshot 2026-02-18 at 7.34.58 PM

Hi! If you’re in the new Outlook for Windows, Microsoft changed next/previous message to "Ctrl + >" and "Ctrl + <".

If you’re in classic Outlook with a message opened in its own window, still "Ctrl +" . for Next item and "Ctrl +" , for Previous item.
