I came across many websites where experts were saying it didn't matter which free antivirus one was using, as they all give out the same warning on the screen, while in my case,in my downloads folder stored unlimited dangerous downloads, that is only possible while using the M.D.A. on it's own,but not once possible while using an installed rival free antivirus or malware scanner?.I was shocked by these outcomes, after thinking my computer was proffesionally protected by the M.D.A. on it's own.Should i stay with the M.D.A's low detection rates, or simply move to a rival free antivirus that's approved by Microsoft or not, that has high detection rates with no dangerous downloads ever going in?.I am exploring my options.

When it comes to antivirus solutions, it's important to understand that different products may have varying detection rates and capabilities. Microsoft Defender Antivirus (MDA) is designed to provide next-generation protection and is continuously updated to address the latest threats. While some users may experience concerns regarding detection rates, Microsoft Defender has been shown to perform well in independent tests, and it is integrated with additional layers of protection that enhance its effectiveness against sophisticated threats.

If you are encountering numerous dangerous downloads, it may be worth investigating how these downloads are occurring. It's possible that some malware can bypass detection mechanisms, especially if they exploit vulnerabilities or use social engineering tactics. Keeping your system and antivirus software updated is crucial to minimizing risks.

Switching to a rival antivirus solution may provide different results, but it’s essential to choose a product that is also approved by Microsoft and has a good reputation for detecting and handling threats. Ultimately, the best approach may involve using a combination of tools and practices, including regular updates, safe browsing habits, and possibly additional security measures like firewalls or anti-malware tools.
