I've had my computer for over a year and used it for high school, and sign into my school Microsoft account on my pc. But since I graduated a year ago that account got deleted by the school. Now I keep getting a failure to sign in notification on my pc for this account, how do I fix this.

    Dear @Silver,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

From your description, I understand that you previously signed into your PC/OneDrive with a school (work or school) account, and after graduating the school removed that account. Now Windows keeps showing a sign-in failure notification because the device is still trying to refresh the old school sign-in.

    I recommend following steps:

1/ Disconnect the old school/work account from Windows

Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.

If the school account is listed, select it and choose Disconnect.

2/ Unlink the old school account from OneDrive on this PC (if OneDrive is still tied to it)

Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area.

    Select Settings > Account.

Select Unlink this PC, then confirm Unlink account.

3/ If you want to keep using OneDrive

After the old account is removed/unlinked, sign in to OneDrive again using your active personal Microsoft account.

If you still see the prompt after steps 1 and 2, please let me know what you observe in Access work or school then I can suggest next steps

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
