Hey there,

Been having this issue for quite a long time now, and it's draining me of money, time and my mental well-being.

I moved to New Zealand 3 years ago, about 2 years ago I lost access to my lifelong Hotmail account which I have filled in endless account recovery forms; with no avail. I am paying for a MS office subscription for this time which I also cannot cancel, because, I cannot access the account.

Please, please, please can someone help me. I can send my bank card, bank statements with the payment being taken out from, my passport, drivers license. I just want my old email account back and I need to stop having my money taken when I cannot do anything about it. I cannot contact anyone, I get no responses back from recovery forms.

Please help.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly to try to unlink that subscription from the account you cannot access, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Unfortunately, if you have lost access to your Hotmail account and have been unable to recover it through the standard recovery forms, it is likely that your account has been permanently deleted by Microsoft if it has not been accessed in over two years. Microsoft typically deletes accounts that have been inactive for this duration, and once deleted, they cannot be restored, even by support.

As for your Microsoft 365 subscription, without access to the associated account, it can be very challenging to cancel the subscription. Here are a couple of options you might consider:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: While you mentioned difficulties in contacting support, you can try reaching out through their official support channels. They may require proof of identity, such as your bank statements or identification documents, to assist you in canceling the subscription.
    2. Cancel through your bank: If you cannot get help from Microsoft, you might consider contacting your bank or credit card issuer to stop the payments for the subscription. This is often a more straightforward route if you cannot access the account.

I understand this situation can be frustrating, but these steps may help you resolve the issue.
