    Hey there, kelvin gaton

Please can you tell me if this is a recent security change you made on the security page here: https://account.microsoft.com/security?

Do you have any other security information on your Microsoft account, or just that phone number?

    Thanks,
    Nathan

If you are unable to access your old phone number to verify your identity and cancel the security request, you will need to follow the account recovery process. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Use the Recovery Form: Go to the Microsoft account recovery form at https://account.live.com/acsr. Choose the option for account recovery and provide as much information as possible to verify your identity.
    2. Contact Support: If the recovery form does not work, you can contact Microsoft Support directly. You can do this by visiting https://support.microsoft.com/contactus and selecting the appropriate options for account recovery.
    3. Provide Alternative Verification: If you have other verification methods set up (like an alternate email or a different phone number), try using those to regain access.
    4. Create a New Account: If all else fails and you cannot regain access, consider creating a new Microsoft account. However, note that this will not give you access to any data or settings from your old account.

Make sure to explain your situation clearly when contacting support, as they may have specific processes to help you regain access to your account without your old phone number.
