    Hey there, Fatima El Hawi

Your tutor is most likely talking about the Azure Student subscription which you can sign up for here: https://azure.microsoft.com/free/students

Please note that the system will verify if you are eligible for the subscription when you sign up for it. You must meet the following criteria:

    1. You are enrolled on a degree at university or college,
    2. You must have an email address provided by your university/college which will be used to verify your status,
    3. The course you are enrolled on is a full time course that is two to four years,

You can view the full list of requirements here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/education-hub/azure-dev-tools-teaching/program-faq#azure-for-students

When completing the form, please sign into your personal account to complete the form. You will see a box on the form where it asks you for your university/college email address. Once you first submit the form, you will get an email sent to your university email address with a code. This will direct you back to the form where you can sign back into your personal account and apply the code provided into the email where it asks for a verification code.

This will allow you to submit the form again where the system will verify your eligibility. If you are eligible for the subscription, it will automatically apply the subscription to your tenant where you can view it within the Cost Management service here: https://portal.azure.com/?feature.msaljs=true#view/Microsoft_Azure_GTM/ModernBillingMenuBlade/~/Overview

You will also get $100 free credits to spend for the year which can be found here: https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/Balance

Once you have the subscription, you will be able to access free resources and apps here: https://portal.azure.com/?feature.msaljs=true#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Education/EducationMenuBlade

    Hope this information helps,
    Nathan

To get an Azure subscription for free as a student, you should sign up for the Azure for Students program. This program provides students with access to various Azure services and resources, including a $100 credit valid for 12 months, without requiring a credit card.

Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Go to the Azure for Students website.
    2. Verify your student status using your educational institution's email address.
    3. Once approved, you will receive your Azure credits and can start using Azure services for your labs.

If you are already using Azure and see options to upgrade, it may be because you are on a different type of subscription. Make sure to check that you are eligible for the Azure for Students offer and follow the steps to sign up for it.

If you have any issues or need further assistance, you can refer to the Azure Education Hub or contact your instructor for guidance.
