    Hello Ingrid Uthaug,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I realize that you've encountered a problem with Microsoft account. I truly understand your confusion. Let me assist you further.

    Here is my suggestion:

Problem 1 – Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 is linked to the wrong Microsoft account

What you should and shouldn't do

    • You shouldn't see or change the linked Microsoft account on PS5 yourself.
    • The link made the first time the game started is permanent.
    • Only Forza Support can review or correct a wrong first‑time link.
    1. Go to Forza Support https://support.forzamotorsport.net
    2. Select Submit a ticket.
    3. Choose Forza Horizon 5 > Account / Sign‑in issue.
    4. In the message, include all of the following:
      • PSN ID (your son’s PlayStation account)
      • Microsoft email that should be linked
      • Short explanation: “Wrong Microsoft account linked on first setup on PS5”
    5. Submit the ticket.
    6. Wait for Forza Support reply (Microsoft Support cannot fix this).

Problem 2 – Son’s Microsoft account was deleted

    First, determine which case applies.

Case A – Deleted LESS than 30–60 days ago

It allows recovery only inside this window.

    1. Father (original creator) goes to https://account.microsoft.com
    2. Try to sign in with the deleted email.
    3. If prompted, complete account recovery.
    4. If sign‑in fails, go to recovery form: https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount
    5. Submit form using father’s email.

If within the window, account may reopen. After 60 days, recovery is impossible.

Case B – Child account deleted under Family Safety / FTC rules

These deletions are permanent. No restoration

    1. Create a new Microsoft account for your son.
    2. Add recovery email + phone immediately.
    3. Add child again in Microsoft Family Safety.

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,
