I have been getting spammed with countless junk emails and trash, no matter how many times i mark as junk and delete them. i have tried to get support from MS but been ignored. Can anyone tell me how i nuke this email and transfare some important emails to Gmail or another provider?

I have had this email for over 20 years and for the past 6 months i have been bombarded with about 10 to 20 emails dropping into my main inbox daily. clearly hackers have sold my email to some nonsense and MS wont do nothing to make it stop.

To "nuke" your Outlook account and move to Gmail, you can follow these general steps:

    1. Backup Important Emails: Before deleting your Outlook account, make sure to save any important emails you want to keep. You can forward them to your new Gmail account or download them as .pst files if you're using Outlook desktop.
    2. Set Up Gmail: Create a new Gmail account if you haven't already. You can do this by visiting the Gmail website and following the sign-up process.
    3. Import Emails to Gmail: Once your Gmail account is set up, you can import your important emails from Outlook. Gmail has an import feature that allows you to bring in emails from other accounts. You can find this option in Gmail settings under the "Accounts and Import" tab.
    4. Delete Your Outlook Account: If you are sure you want to delete your Outlook account, you can do so by going to your Microsoft account settings. Look for the option to close your account. Be aware that this action is irreversible, and you will lose access to all emails and data associated with that account.
    5. Update Your Contacts: Inform your contacts about your new email address to ensure they can reach you in the future.

If you're still receiving a lot of spam, consider using Gmail's spam filtering features, which are generally more effective than those in Outlook. You can also set up filters in Gmail to manage incoming emails better.
