    Hello Osama Al-Areky

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and thank you for your question.

I understand how frustrating it is when OneDrive closes immediately and doesn’t allow you to sign in or disconnect your account. To help determine the cause, may I ask:

    • What exactly happens when you try to open OneDrive? Do you see any specific error message on the screen, or does the app simply crash and close without showing anything?
    • Are you able to access OneDrive on the web by going to https://onedrive.com and signing in there? If the web version works normally, that tells us your account is fine and the issue can relate to the OneDrive client on your device.

In the meantime, if possible, please try clearing any saved credentials related to OneDrive or Microsoft 365 in your Windows Credential Manager:

    • Press Windows key + S and enter Credential Manager and run it
    • Go to Windows Credentials
    • Find and remove anything related to Microsoft 365, Office, OneDrive or your work account. This will remove old authentication tokens that may be causing conflicts.

After that, if possible, try uninstalling OneDrive from your device, then restart your computer and reinstall it. Once the fresh installation is complete, sign back in with your account and see if OneDrive works normally again. I understand that in some cases users may not be able to uninstall OneDrive, so only attempt this step if your system allows it.

I want to make sure I fully understand your situation so I can assist you as effectively as possible. If you can share a bit more detail about what happens on your screen, or if anything changes after trying the steps above, I’ll be happy to help you continue troubleshooting.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I look forward to your reply.

To resolve issues with OneDrive not opening or syncing properly, you can try the following steps:

    1. Repair OneDrive: Before uninstalling, attempt to repair your OneDrive installation. This can often resolve issues without needing a complete reinstall. You can follow the instructions in the Microsoft support article on how to repair Office programs.
    2. Update OneDrive: Ensure that you are using the latest version of OneDrive for work or school. Updating to the current release can resolve many sync issues.
    3. Reset Internet Explorer: If you have custom Internet options that might be interfering with the sync, consider resetting Internet Explorer to its default state. Note that this will remove all previous customizations.
    4. Uninstall and Reinstall OneDrive: If the above steps do not work, you may need to uninstall and then reinstall OneDrive. The steps for this depend on how you installed the application (either through a setup program or Office Click-to-run).
    5. Use Office Online: As a temporary workaround, if you cannot open OneDrive, you can use Office Online to access and work with your documents.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
