Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
There can be various reasons why your system may become slow or freeze intermittently. To determine the root cause of the problem, you will need to check several areas of the system to resolve the issue.
- Check if any Windows Updates are running in the background: Go to Start > Settings > System > Windows updates > Check for updates. Download and install all the available updates for your device.
- Check for corrupted system files using the System File Checker Utility scan. Open the command prompt (Administrator) Window. Run these commands one by one and click Enter for each command.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Once completed, restart your computer.
- Open the Task Manager and disable all the startup apps: Open the task manager and go to the Startup apps tab > Select each app that doesn't want to start up automatically when starting up your PC > Click disable.
Also, in the process tab,> If you see any apps running in the background,> Click End tasks.
If you are still experiencing issues, boot your PC in a clean boot state to determine whether any third-party services or apps are causing them.
