I just purchased a new computer with windows 11. As I was going through my folders in my favorite bar, I accidently deleted them. Please tell me there is a way of recovering them. I can't seem to find a way to contact customer service for help.

Thank you all in advance for any help you can give.

    Hi Sue,

In Windows 11, items in the Favorites bar (now called Quick Access in File Explorer) are usually just pinned shortcuts. If you removed them, they were unpinned rather than permanently deleted. You can restore them by navigating to the original folder in File Explorer, right-clicking it, and selecting Pin to Quick Access to add it back.

If the folders themselves were actually deleted (not just unpinned), check the Recycle Bin and restore them from there. If they are not in the Recycle Bin, recovery would depend on whether backups from OneDrive were previously enabled.

If you have accidentally deleted your favorites in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11, there are a few steps you can try to recover them:

    1. Check the Recycle Bin: Sometimes, deleted items may end up in the Recycle Bin. Open the Recycle Bin and see if your favorites are there. If they are, you can restore them by right-clicking and selecting "Restore".
    2. Restore from Backup: If you have a backup of your system or your Edge favorites, you can restore them from that backup. Windows 11 may also have a previous version of your favorites if you have File History enabled.
    3. Sync with Microsoft Account: If you were signed in to your Microsoft account and had sync enabled, your favorites might be recoverable from another device where you are signed in. Check other devices or log in to Edge on the web to see if your favorites are still available.
    4. Contact Support: If none of the above methods work, you may want to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. You can find contact options on the Microsoft support website.

I hope one of these methods helps you recover your deleted favorites!
