    Hi Nisha G,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

Please provide more information about the issue you're having so I can better understand and assist you:

    • Did you install necessary drivers for your laptop, especially Wi-Fi driver from your laptop support page or application?
    • When you connect to a Wi-Fi, what happen? Do you receive any error messages?
    • Do other devices connect to that Wi-Fi normally?
    • Did you try to connect to another Wi-Fi?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

Access msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot and post it here.

Does this mean it doesn't work with any Wi-Fi network or a specific one?

Go to the troubleshooting wheel in the Start menu > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshoot > Wi-Fi and click Run.

    Thanks

To troubleshoot your HP Ryzen computer's WiFi connection issue, you can follow these steps:

    1. Identify the Type of Failure:
      • Check if all devices can connect to the WiFi or just your HP computer.
      • Determine if the connection fails to establish at all or if it connects and then drops.
      • Identify if the issue is with a specific access point or SSID.
    2. Rule Out Common Causes:
      • Restart the WLAN Autoconfig Service (WlanSvc) on your computer.
      • Uninstall any third-party connection managers that might interfere with the connection.
      • Disable any group policies that could affect the connection.
      • Ensure that your system has the latest updates installed. You can check for updates in Windows settings.
    3. Advanced Troubleshooting:
      • Use the command netsh trace start wireless_dbg capture=yes overwrite=yes maxsize=4096 tracefile=c:\tmp\wireless.etl to capture network data.
      • Reproduce the issue by attempting to connect to the WiFi.
      • Stop the trace with netsh trace stop and convert the output file to text format using netsh trace convert c:\tmp\wireless.etl.
      • Analyze the logs to identify where the connection setup is failing.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking the hardware components or contacting support for further assistance.
