Please provide an option in New Teams to enable JUST sound notifications and NOT banners

Question

There is no way to enable just the sound notifications for chats without having a banner appear. It's all-or-nothing. Please add an option to enable sound and banner notifications separately.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience regarding the problem with Teams notifications. I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you’ve been going through. 

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience this situation has caused you. After conducting testing on my side, I was able to reproduce the same issue. Currently, Teams notification sounds and banners are integrated into the Teams settings, and there is no option to only turn off neither banner nor sound separately.

Your feedback is extremely valuable, and I truly appreciate you raising this issue. As a forum moderator, I hope you understand that I don’t have the ability to modify or escalate product issues directly. However, I understand how important this functionality is for your workflow, so I recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the Feedback Portal . This is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements. Sharing your experience through this channel is the most impactful way to advocate for a change that would benefit you and other users.

You can also upvote this feedback which has been submitted earlier from a user who having the same concern as you do. The more upvote it has, the more visibility will it bring to the product team to be prioritize for future enhancement.
