I had my email hacked and I've changed my email several times but have not received any emails since 2/17. How can I get unblocked?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Can you please check if your Outlook (Attachments) storage is full?

If your mailbox is near or over the storage limit, new emails might not arrive in your inbox https://onedrive.live.com/managestorage in the same page, please check your OneDrive storage as it's linked to your Microsoft account and can sometimes affect email services if it's full.

To be safe, I recommend the following steps:

Check your account rules and forwarding settings, hackers create rules that automatically forward or delete emails. You can do this in Outlook settings under Mail > Rules and Forwarding. https://support.microsoft.com/office/manage-email-messages-by-using-rules-in-outlook-c24f5dea-9465-4df4-ad17-a50704d66c59

Just to be safe, I’d recommend to sign out everywhere. Visit: https://account.live.com/proofs/manage/additional Scroll down to Sign me out and select "Sign me out".

And changing your password again and enabling two-step verification if you haven’t already. This will add an extra layer of security to prevent future unauthorized access.

    Regards,

If you are not receiving emails after changing your email multiple times, it may be due to several reasons, including account settings or security measures put in place after the hacking incident. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Spam/Junk Folder: Sometimes, legitimate emails can end up in the spam or junk folder. Make sure to check there.
    2. Review Forwarding Rules: If you had any forwarding rules set up before your email was hacked, they might still be in effect. Ensure that no rules are forwarding your emails to another account.
    3. Contact Support: If you are still unable to receive emails, it may be necessary to contact Microsoft Support for assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and check if there are any blocks on your account.
    4. Account Recovery: If you suspect that your account settings have been altered, you may want to go through the account recovery process to regain full control of your email settings.
    5. Check Account Activity: If you regain access, check for any unauthorized changes or settings that may have been altered by the hacker.
    6. Ensure Security Measures: After regaining access, consider enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and updating your recovery options to enhance security.

Be persistent in reaching out to support if the issue persists, as they may have additional tools to help you resolve the problem.
