My Adobe PDF files won't open they are showing the PDF icon with a file folder in the corner. The files are stored on Dropbox but won't copy to my desktop and generate an error code. I am using Windows 11. I have the same problem with Word files and photos.

What does the Error Message say?

Have you tried downloading the files from Dropbox?

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with opening various file types, including PDF, Word documents, and images. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check File Associations: Ensure that your system has the correct programs associated with these file types. For example, make sure you have a PDF viewer installed for PDF files and Microsoft Word for .docx files.
    2. File Corruption: If the files are corrupted, they may not open. You can try to open them on another device or check if you can download them again from Dropbox.
    3. Disk Space: Ensure that your hard drive has enough space. If your disk is full, it may prevent files from opening or copying. You can use the Disk Cleanup tool to free up space.
    4. Repair Office: If Word files are not opening, you might want to try repairing your Office installation. You can do this through the Control Panel by selecting the Office application and choosing the repair option.
    5. Check for Updates: Make sure that your Windows and all related applications are up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to seek further assistance from Microsoft support or the respective application support for more specific guidance.
